Sophia Nicholson approached us with a clear passion for aquaponics. Following a conversation with the team, we quickly established a focus that could be both innovative yet hold replication opportunities in the future.
The idea was to create a kitchen scale system with moveable planters that could be bought from a “hub” pre-grown, thus allowing the system to provide a constant supply of harvestable salad and herbs straight from the kitchen. The hope was that this would re-engage families with natural cycles and food production. A relationship that is deteriorating with the increase in supermarket buying.
